One of the ways that I am tracking my journey is with the Wii Fit body test. I use it mainly to just weigh in and watch the graph (hopefully) move down and down to my goal.
Today I lost a little faith in what the wii fit is telling me.
I got on at the same time I get on everyday, which is after I get home and get a work out in. Today it told me that I lost 3 pounds since last time....which was yesterday at the same time. Even though I did work out really hard yesterday, I knew that there was no way I lost that much. I turned off the wii. Let it sit for a bit and tried again.....turns out i actually gained .2 of a pound.
So to my wii fit I say, "come on, don't tease me like that, baaaby!" (said in a Conan O'Brianesque manner)
On the plus side, i did work out again and had a pretty good day in terms of eating. Got in 1.5 litres of water already. I try to drink about 3 litres a day...it's not as hard as it sounds. It does make for getting up in the middle of the night like an old lady though. I drink a lot of perrier for the variety.
I surprisingly got the next 2 days off work....and if you've tried to lose weight you know that the weekends are the hardest and I'm now going to be struggling against a 4 day weekend. We'll see how that goes.

I think the best idea to keep on track during a weekend is to not spend time sitting in front of the TV for hours. I know when I'm not doing anything, I get snacky. So fill your days with interesting things!
ReplyDeleteYah! Jordan and I are starting to bike on the weekends...that helps!
ReplyDeleteThe thing is if we go downtown for the day I start getting snacky too, cause I want ice cream or beavertails or other goodies.
I have to learn to make better choices....but it's SOOO hard!
You could always work 7 days a week.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, no thank you!
ReplyDeletep.s. there was almost exactly 12 hours between the last 2 comments....weird :S
I wrote a comment but accidentally deleted it :| the body moves up and down up to 9 lbs over the course of a day due to water, so don't get frustrated if it changes over the course of a few minutes or hours. :P
ReplyDelete9 pounds? I thought it was only like 2...that makes me feel better! :)
ReplyDeleteHmm that makes sense... 9 lbs. I usually laugh when people say things like "I lost 1/2lb!!!" and I'm like... "I just took a dump too!"
ReplyDeleteHahaha, that's what I said to a co-worker. He said he lost 2 pounds in a day....I said a big poop doesn't count.
